Lately there have been a few people expressing their concern on our Guestbook that Dumbo has not yet found his forever home, despite there being some people keen to offer him a home.

On the face of it, it could appear to people that don't know Dumbo or us that we are being over-zealous in our efforts to find a suitable home for him.
Because we care so much about Dumbo, we feel that we owe it to him to find him a home that is as near perfect as possible & a home that he will be very happy in.
We really can't run the risk of putting him in a home that isn't right and therefore have the possibility of him being returned to the kennels later on because he is not suitable. That would be totally unfair on Dumbo esp at his time of life.

The homes that have been offered for him have not been suitable for reasons, including; people working full time, young children in the home (Dumbo is not happy around young children) & other intact male dogs in the household. And sadly, we have also had people changing their minds at the last moment.


To those people who have offerd Dumbo a home, we do thank you for your kindness and hope that you will understand that his happiness is paramount and not something that we are willing to compromise.

Rest assured that we will continue to love and care for him as long as it takes to find him his forever home. We would love nothing more than to place Dumbo into his forever home, but it has to be the right home for Dumbo.
