CAN YOU HELP?
Noah is a 6 year old Greyhound, who has very
sadly been diagnosed with Heart failure.
We have been very lucky to have found a kind
couple (Jo & Bill) to give Noah a good, loving,
comfortable home, regardless of his serious
condition.
But we do need help by way of Donations to help
us pay for Noah's tests that he's had & also his
Medication that he will need to stay on.
Noah has only been given 6 - 12 months to live.
We will not let him suffer, but we will ensure
those months are the best months of his life.
Noah's Tests (ECG & Echocardiogram) are costing
us £800 & Noah's Medication which he needs to
stay on cost £80 per month.
At the moment, Noah has very good quality of
life & he is not aware he is so ill. He is a
happy boy enjoying all his home comforts inc his
own sofa(!), lots of love & affection, Good food
(Noah has always loved his food & treats!), and
he has two gentle walks everyday which he really
enjoys. Noah is also enjoying the company of Jo
& Bill's other Greyhound, Holly, who is also a Castledon
Greyhound - and they get on very well together.
If you would like to give a Donation to help us
with the costs, please make your cheque payable
to J Adams & send to:

Please mark your envelope 'Noah Fund'.
Thankyou very much for your support
We are very sad to have to report that Noah
was very sadly put to sleep a few days ago,
due to his breathing becoming much worse. We
didn't want Noah to suffer so it was the
kindest thing to do for him.
Rest in peace Noah

Castledon Greyhound Rescue provides a sanctuary for
Greyhounds in need in the UK. Greyhounds come to us
as retired racers, from shelters, as strays, and
from owners who need to give up their dogs due to
changing life circumstances such as: relocation,
financial hardship, divorce, illness, or death.
Castledon Greyhound Rescue provides the animals with
veterinary care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, high
quality food, love, and placement into a home for
life under a contract that dictates their humane
care.
Greyhounds are thankfully becoming very popular pets -
people are more aware of their plight & of course, what
fantastic pets they make.....
They are commonly referred to as 40 mph couch potatoes!!
So, what makes a Greyhound such a great pet?
- Contrary to popular belief, they don't require much
exercise - two 20 minute walks per day is sufficient.
-
Greyhounds have the most fantastic temperaments
- They adore human company
- Are extremely affectionate
- Are gentle, docile & loving
- Excellent on a lead
- Quiet dogs that rarely bark
Greyhounds are very popular as PAT dogs (Pets as Therapy)
which I think you will agree, says a lot about the
temperament of the breed.
We
hope you enjoy our website, and will consider adopting a
Greyhound.......
